E-LIGHTING AND EXTINGUISHERS
Emergency Escape Lighting
This part of the emergency lighting system provides sufficient lighting levels to enable a safe exit in the event of failure to the normal electrical supply. This type of emergency lighting forms part of the fire protection system of a building.
Standby Lighting
This part of the emergency lighting system provides sufficient lighting levels to enable normal activities to continue in the event of failure to the normal electrical supply. This lighting does not provide fire protection unless it meets the same equipment, design and installation requirements as Emergency Escape Lighting systems.
Escape Route Lighting
This part of the emergency lighting system provides sufficient lighting levels to enable a safe exit for building occupants. It provides appropriate visual conditions and direction finding on escape routes and in special areas/locations, and to ensure that fire fighting and safety equipment can be readily located and used (e.g. corridors and stairs). The design of the emergency lighting is in line with BS 5266-1: 2011.
Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations. Extinguishers are vital within a business for the safety of staff and customers. All businesses are legally obliged to provide fire extinguishers to comply with Health and Safety. Here at Waveley, we can supply, install and maintain any type of extinguisher.
